Why does flaccidity occur in the arms?
The loss of elastin and collagen, ageing and weight loss cause the skin on the inside of the arm to become loose and flaccid, which is difficult to eliminate with a healthy diet and exercise. Therefore, the brachioplasty operation in Malaga is the only solution to this problem.
Who is the right candidate for brachioplasty surgery?

How is brachioplasty surgery performed?
The surgery lasts between 1 and 2 hours. It is performed under general anaesthesia or, in some cases, it can be performed under local anaesthesia. Patients must stay overnight in hospital after the operation.
Dr. Maribel Ruiz makes an incision on the inside or back of the arm (the size varies depending on the volume of fat to be removed and the extent of loose skin) and excess skin is removed (excess fat can also be removed by liposuction).

Postoperative period after brachioplasty surgery
After brachioplasty surgery, the patient will leave the hospital the next day with bandages.
Depending on whether they have drainage or not, after 3 or 4 days they will be checked, the bandage will be changed, etc. After approximately 15 days, the bandage and stitches are removed and a special compression garment for the arms is placed, which must be worn for approximately 3 months.
The patient will be able to carry out normal daily activities one month after the operation.
